With the group in town and me on semester break, we decided to go all touristy.

So on Chinese New Year, we went to Kek Lok Si temple with Victor and Iera.

We got there late and it was already noon and people kept pouring in.

The air was thick with the smell of incense coming from the thousand of joss stick burned, but the beautiful lanterns took my mind off of it.

We had lunch at Kapitan and sent Iera home before calling it a day.

P/S: Just helped Aiman and Yusri with a huge event. It's better with them around than me alone.

Sometimes life can take you to places you never expect to be.

Aiman is now working in Penang and he's staying 5 minutes away from my house.

After a week working at The Playground Events, my sister was kind enough to take Aiman to the beach.

We went to Straits Quay and then to Teluk Bahang.

We had to walk into Taman Negara Penang before reaching the beach.

The weather and view was awesome.

I'm going back to Cyberjaya in few days.

Final year. Yikes!

Listening to Wagon Wheel by Old Crow Medicine Show

Who would have thought that a bunch of early twenties would have so much fun at Petrosains.

Lea, Josephine and myself were literally gleaming with lights. UV lights that is.

Our favourite would have to be the awesome 3D mirror.

Coming in close in second and third place, the 2 storey high slide that I can actually fit in and the Hurricane chamber.

We spent hours there trying out anything that was put on display.

After that we headed to Aquaria after convincing each other that it would be worth it.

Haha. Not so much.

I would not mind for another trip to Petrosains.

Too much fun is never wrong in my book.

After 4 years of celebrating Ramadhan away from family, this year I was lucky enough to finally be in Penang for the whole Ramadhan.

On the morning of Eid, we carry out the routine of asking for forgiveness and then off to ziarah kubur.

This year family photos definitely out done last year. Haha.

And the photo I was holding was circa 1993. I was four then.

On the fourth day of Eid, my sis and I went to Kulim to visit a friend.

I've been to a number of event since I first started my internship, but the recent one was my favourite.

A mix of beaches, sunshine, chocolate, briyani rice and Morrocon vibe.

I lived on an island and yet going to beaches is never boring.

The event was meant for team building and we did it through chocolate.

I did my job taking photos and helping out during the setup.

Of course I chugged a whole lot of chocolate out of the piping bag. Haha.

And the last picture is a result of giving your camera to someone and praying that the picture they took turn out well.

Work vs Play

Internship for the semester really made me realize how life's going to be like after graduation.

Still need some adjustment but I'm praying that I can manage through.

The photos were taken during my recent visit to Cyberjaya.

For two days, we ate, slept when the sun came up, drove all night and sang our heart out.

Rindu.

And yes, the image of me singing can be too graphic for some of you.

So considering the amount of terror that picture can cause, I decided to do some censoring. Haha.

Pullman Putrajaya Lakeside

Right after the semester ended, my family came down to Cyberjaya to pick up all my stuff.

Pullman has always been the family choice, so we decided to stay there before heading back to Penang.

It was the right mini vacation that I need after a tiring semester.

I spent the day indoor and watched TV.

Every time we stayed at Pullman, the breakfast is what I look forward to.

The pastry that they served is to die for.

I will load up on this baby as much as I can, the regret will come later. Haha.

What a relief it was to be able to complete this semester final project.

Everything was brand new as we ventured into media technology and interactive technology.

The research was tedious and the preparation almost made me quit.

But syukur alhamdulillah, the day before the presentation everything went well.

Practical for the next three months is the real deal.

Ipoh Trip

Perjalan dari Kuala Lumpur ke Ipoh mengambil masa 4 jam.Mana tak nya, yang nak ambil penumpang, yang nak isi minyak, yang nak isi perut, yang nak tukar kereta.Kereta Atos Aiman aka Barricade memang selesa. Tambahan aku pula seorang kat belakang.Yusri dinobatkan sebagai pemandu berhebah untuk perjalanan kali ini. Gossip dan sembang memang dah sah jadi bualan.

Sampai saja Ipoh, terus ke rumah Miss Intan. Dari petang sampai malam majlis berlangsung. Aku, Aiman, Yusri suka hati saja menyelit dalam majlis akad nikah.Yusri sebagai audio man dah terpacak sebelah Tok Kadi. Haha. Terbaik la audio! Aiman dan aku cover indoor and outdoor shooting. Malam tu tidur rumah Adek. Mak Adek masak sedap. Nyam nyam.

Hari esoknya, semua bangun lambat, memang kalut la siap.Bila sampai rumah Puan Intan pagi tu, kerja terus jalan. Letih tak payah kata la. Dah menitis dah peluh. Masa majlis dapat juga jumpa rakan-rakan lama. Lepas rindu kat korang. Pensyarah pun ramai yang datang. Selesai majlis hari tu, kita orang balik rumah Adek.

Malam tu sebelum bertolak ke KL, Aiman cadangkan kitaorang round Ipoh. Silibin, Kampung Tengku Hussien, Cherry, banyak lagi. Jujur nak kata memang sedih. Rindu sangat zaman KPTM.Tapi sebelum tu, tergerak hati nak jumpa Puan B.Haha, ade rezeki dapat jumpa baby girl Puan B yang baru. Dalam pukul 10 malam, baru masuk kereta dan gerak balik KL.

Yet another overdue update. Been busy with the new semester.

For this year Putrajaya International Hot Air Balloon, the weather was not so promising.

It was cloudy and not much blue sky was in sight.

We were there around 7:30 in the morning and of course were lucky enough to witness the launching.

I only had my prime lens with me. Not a big fan of those bulky big giant bazooka lenses.

It was challenging but I shot anything that was in near distance.

Zoo Taiping

This should be the last post for the trip.

On the way back to Cyberjaya, we stopped by Taiping Zoo.

We all acted like a kid again. Oohing and aahhing at everything. Haha.

The crocodiles really scared me. They were huge.

You never really realized how big these animal are until you see them for yourself.

On the way out, we took a photo with two giant boa snakes.

For 10 ringgit, we got to hold a snake and have 2 ferocious lion and 2 wild tigers as background.

Not bad.

Btw, I was trying not to laugh as Josie kept leaning towards Kak Anis instead of engaging with the snake.

Litlle India

After the recording session that took 4 hours to finish, we went home and rested.

We headed for Little India the night after that.

Along had some free time and promised to drive us around.

Josie was gleaming and smiling up to her ears once we reached Little India.

Living up to its name, Little India was colorful.

Josie bought us some bangle and we all wore it proudly despite the glitter,scratches and broken pieces.

We stopped by Gurney plaza for a bit before stopping for our midnight snack, ais kacang.

Thank you Along for being chauffeur for a day.

This is the first series of Future Motion's Penang trip.

We drove for 4 hours and along the way Josie told us her tall tale story of all her family members.

And when she got tired, she doze off for a while.

Eternal peace. Haha.

We spent three days at my house and every night I tortured them with 16°C room temperature.

Sorry, I was made to withstand cold.

The reason we made this trip was for our assignment.

We needed a studio to record voices and so we rent one.

The studio was okay. Complete with some music instrument.

You can't help but to channel your inner Timbaland when you are in there.

Everything went well and we had our fun around the studio.

Wow. Looking at the archive on the right, I realized how long I've been doing this.

Three weeks ago (last year),the gang decided to ride around Botanical Garden on bikes. But it started raining once we got there.

My parents has returned safely from Mecca on the 16th of December.

Bagan Lalang Seafood

It's been a while since I had seafood.

So last Thursday night, we headed for Bagan Lalang.

Definitely worth the one hour drive.

Tuti, Ani and myself took most of the photos (inside joke.. haha)

Since we don't have any boys with us that night, the walk on the beach was cut short as it was getting really late.

There was eight of us that night and each of us had our fair share of bahan-membahan.

I know it's a boring post. Bare with me till I figure out the next adventure.

This trip almost didn't happen because we were too lazy to take the long ride to KL.

We got there late and it was already raining. Once inside, we started our tour after 10 minute of briefing.

The stairwell reminded me of the Guggenheim. Not that I've been there but I've seen the images before.

My group of four, Aziana, Aqsa, Zarith and myself wandered the whole building.

Aqsa reminded me one of HIMYM episode, where Barney and Robin touched all of the exhibit in the museum.

Haha. I tried but the guard warned me not to do that.

Few pieces got my attention like Punggur Rebah Belatuk Tumpang Mati,A Little To Share In A Little Wooden House and Lolong.

While looking at all of the art works I was somehow expecting China Chow to come out and say "Welcome to the Work of Art".

Oh, Miles Mendenhall should be there too. Haha.

What should I do on the morning of my 21st birthday? Get creative with food!

I woke up at 10 and went straight to the kitchen looking for raw material. I set up the table and start snapping away.

I've always envy those beautiful food+event blogs that have a bunch of great food images. Yummy!

My sister baked brownies for me and they ended up in one of the photo. Delicious!

Before I end this post, I would like to say Selamat Hari Raya Aidiladha.

Cyberpreneurship

Listening to "Club Can't Handle Me (Cover)" by Tyler Ward & Cobus Potgieter

Cyberpreneurship was one of the subject for last semester. To be honest, I was lost at the beginning not knowing what to do. Our group had many crazy DIY idea and we wanted to make our booth spectacular. But once we hit the financial phase , we realized we were on a tight budget.

Not knowing whether our business was going to work, we carry on with the idea.We were told that most students decided to sell food and beverages and it was a risk for us trying to sell something different.

Our booth was swarmed for 3 days and we sold most of our stock. To top that, we made over RM800 and still have few more stock to be sold.

Even though I doubt the business plan at first, we managed to make more than the rest of the student, I think. Hahaha.

Thanks to all the group members for all the support and help. Here's peek into our 3 days of fun experience.

BBQ Night

As promised, more photos taken before BBQ Night during the fasting month.

We went to Yusri's sister's house. It was huge, with big lawn and tall trees, and a real life farmville in the backyard. Complete with roosters, hens and a goose.

Rindu nak mengedik tangkap gambar macam dulu. Yang gedik tetap gedik. Yang sengal tak kurang sengalnya.

The BBQ started around 6 pm. We set up while others prepared the food.

I was busy stuffing myself with food that I only took few photos during the BBQ.

After dinner we invaded the playground.

My night was cut short as I was tied up with work, so I left early while others enjoy the rest of the night.

Belum Trip I

This post has been long overdue.

Hopefully I will have time to upload more from this trip later since my external hard drive just died on me. Sigh.

This might be quite a long post. So brace yourself.

The trip purpose was for my class final project. We were told to create an interactive application that portray the Orang Asli of Belum.

The 3 days 2 nights trip was overwhelming for me with the pressure of collecting all the needed data for the project.

We left MMU on the 22nd of July and reached Belum the next morning. I swore I had multiple cramp during the long bus trip. But everything was fine once we saw the glistening Banding lake in the early morning sun right beside our hotel.

We unpacked and settled down. Around 3 pm we were gathered by a jetty to take a ride to Pulau Tali Kail for some hiking. Bleerghh. Not really my best skill.

The hike started out smooth for me. After an hour later I realized the everyone has broken into tiny groups. Some were left behind and others way up far leaving me with a group of 5 girls. We lost any human interaction for a good 30 minutes. It was not fun when you are all alone in the forest.

But we managed to find the the rest up the hill. Tired and shaken by the fact that we still have a long hike to go, most of us decided to turn around for the lower ground.

Amazingly it took us only 20 minute to do that. Haha. We waited for those who actually reached the top to come down before taking the boat ride back to the hotel.

Once my boat closing onto the jetty by the hotel, I saw my classmates jumping into the lake with their lifejacket on.

Knowing that this might be the only time I would be in Belum, I decided to join them by jumping into the lake after many many many self affirmation.

I was told that there was a dead silence once I jumped into the lake. They said it took me too long to submerged from the green murky water. Little did they know I was praying for my life underwater. I can not swim in case you still did not get it.

After some water-splashing and lifejacket-tugging we call it a day and rest for the night.

Belum Trip II

Listening to "The Medley" taken from Mujhse Dosti Karoge

The next day was all about work. The first village we visited was Kampung Air Banun. Populated by the Jahai. The red soil trail lead us into the village where I saw kids running around and bamboo huts circling the area.

Having JL as my muse, I adapted his approach on photographing a subject which is getting to know them before taking their portraits.

Having time limit and trust issues from the Jahai people, it was very hard for me to document this, but I tried anyway. I talked to them and ask for their name. Lucky enough some even told me a little bit of their life story and the village tale.

With the help of sweets and tobacco as the offering I was making conversation with the villagers. I even made Ina, the wife of the Tok Batin laughed as we joke around.

I thought Kabu, the woman with a baby strap to her body has a very sweet feature. She told me that she had 5 kids and she's only 24 years old. Very productive for a Jahai woman.

We left Kampung Air Banun after gathering all the data needed.

Belum Trip III

By 3pm we were already on a 45 minutes boat ride before reaching another Jahai village. Kampung Chuweh is situated precisely on the top of a tiny red island. The sight of bamboo huts balancing themselves by the edge of the slope and the bamboo raft drifting by the water edge portray a true settlement of the Jahai.

We climbed up the red muddy dirt and saw the whole village. There was a lot of activity going on in Kampung Chuweh. There were groups of young men playing sepak takraw. Jahai women by their huts taking care of the little one. The old men sitting under the shady tree looking at us the visitors.

I instantly get to work and try to get close to my subject. The people in this village were very hostile at first but with the help of En.Radzi (FCM ex-lecturer) I was able to get few more portraits of the villagers.

I sat with one of the Jahai man and talked about their language and learn few sentences. He told me they built empty huts for visitors to come and stay in the village to experience first hand the Jahai lifestyle. They charge RM 20 per night for every hut.

While the rest of my class were busy taking photos and asking question, a kid with a mohawk hair struck my interest. How on earth did he get the haircut? I followed him and En. Radzi was great enough to persuade him to let us take a picture of him. He was reluctant but we offered sweets and chocolate and he finally gave in. The boy name was Saari, he said that his friend did the haircut and liked it. I bet he is the rebel in the village. Haha.

As the evening came, we said goodbye and get into our boats and left Kampung Chuweh behind. I was drained and went to bed tired and satisfied.

We left Belum in the morning and headed back to MMU. It was a fun trip and hopefully I will be back for my own personal exploring. Belum trip anyone?

Family Trip

Listening to Constellations by Darwin Deez

I thought it's about time I post more photos on family trip.

The most recent was the trip to Cameron Highland.

Since I went there before, I was more than happy to be the unofficial tour guide.

Being there, I was reminded by the adventure I had with Future Motion back in March 2010.

The song we sang, the food we ate and the faces we met.

Knowing that my mom is immune to cold temperature, she was oblivious to the cold weather the moment we reach the top.

The thick fog in the first two photos showed how cold it was up there. At least for me.

Listening to Darling, Please Come Home by Math and Physics Club

I was everywhere last week. Penang, Kuala Lumpur, Perak, Pahang and now back in Cyberjaya.

My class trip to Belum Rainforest was okay. The subject Orang Asli Jahai, was not as great as the one in Cameron Highland.

After that, I went on a trip with my family. Spent some time in Cameron Highland and KL for few days.

I must say KL is not the right place for a person like me. No offense KL people.

I still have a gazillion of projects and assignments to finish.

So be patient and I will upload the photos from the trip after I'm done with everything. Maybe some videos too!

Listening to his Orchestra

Who would have thought that Gregory Smith's (Everwood) brother can make such great music.

Douglas Smith together with his friends one of them is Raviv Ullman, formed his Orchestra back in 2006.

They released their first album Field Guide to the Wilds in February 2009.

I wish I stumble upon them earlier.

Really great songs on the album. Give it a listen.

A trip to FRIM last Tuesday was tiring.

The hike reminded me of Kem Intan Suraya and Broga Hell, sweaty and painfully numb experience.

But once we reached the canopy walk, it was all worth it.

It's not everyday you walk on pieces of plank tide up to trees 30-50 feet from the ground.

I don't have a photo of me though, as always.

The whole family previously stayed here for my graduation last year.

Room Makeover

Listening to "If You Believe Me" by Relient K

Gamma Year! This would be my second year in MMU.

Can't believe it has been a year.

Anyway, I usually spent my semester break on a trip but this semester I have something else in mind.

Room Makeover. My "CGI STUDIO" green room really need a makeover.

So, I did some research on the best colour and the 2010 Pantone Colour of the Year was my pick.

I painted one side of the wall dark blue and the rest soft baby blue.

The window panel and the ceiling was painted white.

I realised I have two side table that was just perfect for the concept.

The side table was also hand painted.

It was a tedious process because I decided to use water-based latex paint and that makes every brush stroke visible.

I painted the furniture according the wood grain so it would look natural.

Took me 3 days to paint the whole room including the window panel and ceiling.

Next up, the decorations.

Lea and I have always admire blogs that showcase pretty pretty vintage, chic room with a twist.

With a concept in mind, I made some DIY garland and arranged some props to go with the rest of the room.

Final verdict, I freaking love my room!

A Day in a Life of Future Motion

Listening to "Walk in the Park" by Oh No! Oh My!

This is a collection of photos that made me smile every time I look at it.

It was easy to find food stalls and restaurants up there, especially in Brinchang and Tanah Rata.

I ordered Nasi Goreng Kampung once for meal and asked for Kuah Kacang.

The other tasted it and most of us had the same thing for our next two meal.

Addicted to Nasi Goreng Kampung!

The second last photo was taken during our trip back from the Orang Asli village.

Ravi and I were awake, and when I turned around I saw all sleepyhead resting peacefully. Ceh!

And the last photo was a solid proof that Lea adalah sangat gedik. Haha!

P/S: One of these days I'm going to get carpal tunnel syndrome due to excessive typing.

Cameron Highland Part I

Listening to "In Sleep" by Lissie

The village that we visited is called Kampung Batu 23.

Most of the orang Asli here is from Semai tribe.

Ali, the Tok Batin was quite a character himself. He made fun of us and told us stories.

Never in a million years would I ever imagine spending a day with an Orang Asli.

Ali showed us a waterfall near the village where we took photos and recorded his activity.

I fell into a mud puddle while setting up the equipment which was something of an experience. Haha.

Back in the village, Ali showed us how to use a blowpipe (sumpit).

The target practice? A stuffed monkey which look quite real from up far.

Ali introduced us to Mikel and said that Mikel got that name because he resembles Michael Jackson. Haha.

The potraits of the Semai people shows the different age groups and I personally talked to the old lady with white hair before taking her photos.

P/S: Bor! It means GOOD in Semai langauge.

Listening to "Laura" by Girls

We actually went to few villages looking for the right Tok Batin. Kampung Panggen,Kampung Sg Ubi, Kampung Batu 23.

The group photo by the waterfall was on our last day. And if you notice, Sara was quite close to the Tok Batin. Haha.

Apparently, Ali claimed that Sara looked and behaved exactly like his daughter. Haha!

That was the highlight of the day for us. Obviously the Tok Batin have a soft spot for her and the photos where he helped her down the hill was the best.

During our tour to Kampung Panggen, we were told that the Tok Batin was out but his son welcome us into the house and just left us there.

That was when we explored the house and even performed the Sewang dance to welcome ourselves.

Kak Anis took a step further trying to prepare us a meal.

And the tall guy in yellow, well, that's Ravi. He was our tour guide. The best one really.

Ravi showed us his home and it was surrounded by hills of tea plantation and his garden was blooming with roses.

There was even a stream of clear water running down a small bridge infront of his house. True story!

Anyway, Ravi helped us out a lot that we thought of making him part of Future Motion. :)

Thank you Ravi for the experience.

Cameron Highland Part III

Listening to "Gimme Sympathy" by Metric

We went to both tea plantation in Cameron Highland.

But the best was the one in Sg.Palas.

Since we had Ravi as tour guide, he drove us all the way up to the highest peak.

Really save us the long walk and tiring hike.

From the peak, I can see the whole plantation and cliche or not, it was very peaceful.

Ravi found a millipede and made us hold it but I just could not get my hand on it. Haha. Geli!

We found some berries and try to eat them but Ravi said he got a much better spot to get the most juiciest berries.

On the way down, Ravi stopped by the road and the next thing we know,we were picking out berries right off the tree and eating them raw. Yummy!

We went to Bharat Tea plantation and took few photos before we head back to our hotel.

P/S: We stayed at Hotel Titiwangsa but wish for Bala's Chalet.

Before we head back to Rawang, we stopped by the market in Cameron Highland.

It was a very windy day. Everything was being flown away. Dust was everywhere.

The market was full with flowers, fruits and veggie.

The most colorful goods stacked on the table up front of each shop and the most beautiful bunch of flowers overflow the roadside.

Love it here.

P/S: They sell packs of rose petals. 3 for RM10. Wow!

This semester is by far the toughest for me.

I still have two more paper to sit through before the holiday.

In the meantime, I have been busy going through all the photos taken during Future Motion's Cameron Highland trip.

Our group finished the documentary and I will soon upload it for your viewing.

This documentary project was something bigger than we thought.

And we proved that being an all-girls group, we can do way better than most of them.

On a personal note, I would like to say THANK YOU to those who were involved in the making of this documentary.

We planned to see the hot air balloon event but we got there late and everything was wrapping up by then.

We hit the Pasar Malam, then dinner at Wan's house. Then swimming demo by the boys.

Finally supper at Mak Teh with Nadia, Adda and Syuk.

I just got back from Cameron Highland trip. It was a blast. A five days experience that will be remembered for a very long time.

Took about a thousand photos. Yeap. And almost a hundred videos.

I know it is just a lame excuse but I need to keep my grade high.

I thought I post something before my trip to Cameron Highland. My first ever.

Strictly for work and not holiday. The group, Future Motion is doing a documentary on Orang Asli.

This is by far the most tedious work I've ever encountered. The preparation alone is endless.

Anyway,this will be my first time shooting a video outdoor and I'm talking the real deal.

Rob Chiu's standard is the aim, with a twist of StillMotion heartfelt storyline.

Hah!

It will be a 5 days rough journey and with the strong team members that the group has, I hope we can do it.

Broga Hell

Trimester 3 started a week ago. Managed to maintain a good grade. Yeay me!

Since the first week was filled with subject briefings, Lea and I decided to have a weekend getaway.

Location, Broga Hill.

We scoured the Internet for info, and the images of these beautiful almost surreal green hills made us jump up in joy and set the plan for the one day getaway.

We recruited few more people, Kak Anis, Josie, Sara, Lea, myself and special appearance by Aiman. Haha.

The hike was forever. We dragged ourselves up anyway, despite the heavy breathing, numerous stop, and minor vomiting.

We made it to the top after one hour. Yes, one long hour.

By now, few of us have made it clear that this would be the first and the last hike to Broga Hill. Haha.

Anyway, the view was fantastic. We took our time up there and enjoyed the view.

After another hour of admiring the tall weed/ grass we slowly hike back down.

This is when all of us, (except for Josie) decided that we won’t be coming back for the second time.

It was just too much of physical activity. Even for Aiman, Lea and Kak Anis.

Haha. Ya, kami tak cukup stamina.

So, for those of you who are about to fall for those beautiful images up there, well don’t!

If you are willing to feel the pain, then go ahead.

P/S : Clearly our team have lack of stamina, so don’t judge our decision.

We stood right at the very top platform for these shots.

The vivid blue sky was just stunning. The view overlooked the sea and mountains.

Took some group shots. Then some individual portraits.

I don't have much of my photo taken since I was the one that was the doing the phototaking.

I will upload mine soon.

We headed back to the jetty to catch our 4:30pm ferry. We reached Penang by 8 pm.

What's next on the travel list? Perhentian. Please please please.

Final day in Langkawi. Next activity. Cable Car Ride. I was having second thought about the idea the moment they told me.

But I went on the ride anyway and let just say I wasn't myself every time I entered that dangling gondola.

The view from the top however was breath taking. Notice the miniature like photo? I took it from a higher ground. And that create the miniature effect. The real term is tilt shift photography.

I've been dying to try it ever since I first knew that it was possible to capture it on camera.

Vincent Laforet's work is mind blowing compared to mine.

That evening I decided to roam the area alone. Just to see the people.

And of course ended up going online. Me and the Cyberworld are inseparable. Hahaha.

By 6:45 pm, I was setting up my gear smack center in the sun ray path.

I just sat there and watched the sunset until it disappeared from my view.

That night we had our dinner at Restoren Wan Thai. Wan pandai buka bisnes.

Sampai ke Langkawi.

And the notice, haha. Sumpah lawak.

Then we headed down to Eagle Square.

It's a challenge getting night shots of this remarkable statue.

But I did it anyway.

We reached the chalet by 1 in the morning.

Went to the jetty to get a boat for island hopping. There was already a line when we arrived.

I got a few shots of the jetty before our boat picked us up.

The first stop was Dayang Bunting Marble. The wind was blowing soo hard that I lost my lens back cover to the deep blue sea. Darn it!

After that we stop by the eagle feeding ground. My favorite. That shot up there, yes I took it! Haha. Bangganya.

Last stop was Beras Basah beach. Too many people and it was searing hot.

After an hour we went back to Chenang Beach.

It was a 3 days trip. The team, Along, Erina, Tong, Alia and myself.

We stayed at Chenang Beach Resort. I joked that the proper tagline for the resort should be "Chenang-chenang datang la.."

Haha. I thought it suits well.

Woke up really early that morning to catch the sunrise.

Such a great feeling to be walking by the beach looking over the mountain silhouettes for the sunrise.

It's quite ironic knowing that I actually live on an island, Penang, but still seek this feeling in another island.

I captured few great shots before getting ready for the next activity.

Sainthood Review

Listening to "Wake Up" by Sliimy

Guess what? I had my hand on Sainthood. Technically my ears, since they were the one been doing the listening for the past two days. The album release is on Oct 27th, but I had my way to listen to whole album first. All 13 full-length tracks. Think what you like because in Malaysia, it is impossible to actually buy their album.

So for those who couldn’t care less about Tegan & Sara, you can stop reading now, because I tend to go all the way when it comes to my two favorite girls.

Back to the review. There are 13 tracks listed for the album Sainthood. "Hell" being the first single released, had me scrambling to their site to listen to what Sainthood is going to be like.

From the 13 tracks, Tegan & Sara each have 6 of their songs included. "Paperback Head" is the only track that the girls work on together.

As always, Tegan's songs are catchy and Sara's, well you need to listen a couple of time before you really get the beat. But once you're humming the tune, you'll be hooked to her songs.

My favorite Tegan's songs from the album Sainthood are "The Ocean" and "Someday". And Sara's, "Sentimental Tune" and "Arrow". I think by far this album has some of the best collection of Sara's songs compare to all the previous albums.

Tegan & Sara have definitely evolve with their music through all these years. Of course the fans would prefer their early work, as that what got them listening to the girls in the first place. This album is nothing like Tegan & Sara first demo. Don't get your hope down. Give it a listen. You'll love it.

Update: The video was supposed to be "Hell" Official Music Video. Apparently, they're no longer available due to copyright. Sheesh...

Me and Aiman was joking around saying that our photoshoot worth more than those photobooth they had for students to have their photos taken.

You know, the stand-still-shoulder-straight-fake-smile kinda pose.

I mean come on. Those types of photos are way too stiff and rigid for a fun day.

So we mock the pose and then filled the rest of the day with our own idea of fun day of graduation.

Post kali ini agak sarat dengan gambar yang diambil pada hari pendaftaran konvo di PICC.

Those 2 days was somehow emotional to me.

Seeing faces that may or may not be in your life when future comes, name of people that might slip away as the years pass by.

My college life was by far the best years I had.

Selamat Hari Raya. Still not too late I guess.

The photos were taken during the course of preparation and Hari Raya itself.

I didn't bake anything but I did help finish up any leftover. Sufi ended up with some sort of skin rashes but he's fine now.

Took these photos on Sunday morning around 6-7 a.m. Lea and I haven't been resting well for almost a week. But everything is almost done, I'm left with one tiny assignment to do before the sheer joy come creeping in.

Today, by midnight, my family is coming to take me home. Yeay for that. Raya is coming really sooner than I thought. And come to think of it, today Lea and I had our last sahur together before the holiday starts.

Listening to every single song of Sugarplum Fairy.

Right at this moment, I'm supposed to be cracking my head trying to finish up my final project. But I'm taking some time off to update you on my latest music craving.

Sugarplum Fairy. The name itself makes me smile.

The first time I listen to this band was back in 2006. Back then, I was more into emo, so I couldn't care less about them. However,yesterday, I magically stumbled upon them again on an online radio and BAM!!

I am in love! Their songs are just great. They do look like some teeny British pop band, but they are actually one awesome-rockin'-Swedish-band ever!

And Victor Noren being absolutely gorgeous is a bonus. *Drool*

I've been listening to all their albums non-stop. Theeee....

Went to Queensbay today with the whole family. The number of people that flock there are just crazy.

Later we went to Bazaar Ramadhan for food. I did get few shots there. Just enough to give you the Ramadhan vibe.

Ramadhan menjelma lagi. 1430 Hijrah.

Jujurnya, Ramadhan kali ney tak semeriah yang lepas. I remember being super thrilled with the decoration, the fasting, the food scavenging and of course mercun and bunga api.

Nak blame sape pun tak boleh. I just have to adapt to the new place the best I can. After all, Ramadhan is not about all those stuff I just mentioned. Kan?

Anyway, I was in Penang for the first day of Ramadhan. My whole family did some shopping and that kinda bring the celebration mood back to life.

I took the photo of my sis while buying food at Kapitan. And yes, they have killer tandoori. Haha.

Harap-harap Ramadhan ni banyak-banyakkan beramal ibadah.

P/S: I am probably the top 10 000 people who listened to "Feel It In my Bones" first. Seriously.

I haven't been getting my regular sleep for 4 days in a row. Not that I'm not used to it, but it was making me cranky from time to time.

Slept in early last night, finally.

Today was submission day for Digital Photography. Most of the students have been posting their photos on blog way before, maybe to get others opinion.

I waited for the approval before publishing that top piece there. And yes, mine turned out to be one of the best. Thanks Aiman and Wawan. Lara Jade, eat your heart out! Hahaha!

The four photos below were taken during a session with Kak Anis. Just tagging along to help her.

Nabila was great with the session. And Bib, haha, slightly shy but she made great photo though.

Thanks for spending the day with us. Truth is, Angah ney sangat pemalu and susah nak be friendly ngan orang, but I can easily get comfy with you guys.

P/S: It was worth all the freaking effort. Plus, I have my team of creative people. Adore them!

I know I've mentioned few times about my whole family coming down to KL to meet me. Haha.. and for shopping purposes too.

We stayed at Dynasty Hotel for 3 days and lucky enough, my mom booked us the room with the best view on the 26th floor.

Which explain my panoramic attempt. Not bad la.

My mom and Along spent that 3 days shopping at TAR & SOGO. As for me, item of choice was FOOD! Haha..

The trees reminds me of these movies; Bridge to Terabithia, Pan's Labyrinth and soon to be premiered Where the Wilds Things Are.

Watched a couple of movies last few nights. Keith, Thumbsucker, and my all time favorite, Powder. Just finished downloading Sunshine Cleaning, maybe I'll watch it tonight.

Another day of discovering Putrajaya and Cyberjaya. Fitrah dan Shahin ajak lepak, skali dengan Kak Anis kitaorang angkut.

The first photo was my favourite. Somehow, we managed to go up the arch on an elevator, right to the 9th floor. Only when we got down, we were told by the security guard that this place was off limit. Hahaha! Sorry la. Janji dah naik. Gambar dah snap.

Banyak tempat lagi singgah. The other day was Jambatan Wawasan, so today we went to the bridge that link Cyberjaya and Putrajaya. Not quite alienish though.

It has been almost over two weeks since I got here, MMU Cyberjaya.

Besides clamping myself in the dorm room, every weekends, Fitrah dan geng beliau kerap kali mengajak aku keluar jalan-jalan. Haha. Trimas!

Pelbagai tempat jugak sudah diredah. But it won't be for long. Fit will resign from her current job in a week and soon she'll be back in her hometown. Ceh! The same goes with Shahin.

A special note to KAMI ( Aiman, Baby, Yusri, Wan, Tok, Milo, Zidane, Mardy, Kak Meen, Adek, budak rumah dan sesiapa yang pernah terlibat dengan sebarangan outing).

Last night I spent the night in watching hours of How I Met Your Mother. Hilarious. Then watched the movie August Rush. Enchanting storyline.

Junk food and a few packets of Choki choki was my treat. Great bliss.

Tonight, another night of movies and TV series.

It's not lame. It's my bliss. Tranquility.
